Museum and Wayfinding
Touchscreen Solutions
In addition to all of the vertical markets that we serve, TTSS
Interactive Products also can produce custom digital signage applications
for our clients. In the past, we have produced systems for automobile
dealerships, touchscreen applications for Internet access, donor
walls, wayfinding systems and museum solutions, among others. Our
philosophy with regard to these systems is to give our clients total
control over the content that will be provided, so that they can
determine how they will display their information, and not be required
to come back to TTSS to change their content. Let's take a quick
look at two of these applications.
Museum Touchscreen Solution
The National Museum of Health and Medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical
Center asked TTSS to create a museum touchscreen kiosk solution for
their exhibit floor. TTSS partnered with the museum to develop an
affordable solution that provided an easy-to-use touchscreen interface
for museum visitors, while allowing museum staff the capability to
make content changes at will. The museum provided initial content
for the system along with raw artwork such as logos and background
photography. TTSS delivered an ADA compliant touchscreen kiosk with
a full set of exhibit content ready for the Diagnostic and Treatment
Technology portion of the museum. The simplicity of the solution will
allow the museum to make changes to the content of the system without
any external assistance or charges from TTSS in the future.

Automobile Dealership Touchscreen Solution
A regional dealership group asked TTSS to provide touchscreen systems
for the dealership floor, in order to create additional interest
in current models on the floor, and to hold customer interest. Some
of their requirements included the need to have Internet connectivity
to connect to existing Toyota web sites, the capability to add information
at the individual dealership, and the ability to add text, graphics,
and video content with ease. On top of that, the systems had to
capture the interest of the customer, and be easy to use.
TTSS produced a system that fulfilled
all of these requirements and was very easy to use from a customer
and a dealership perspective. Maintenance of the system could be
done at either the corporate or dealership level, and this feature
gave the dealers the option to place any information specific to
the business on their own system. This was used in some cases to
link to the dealer's used car inventory on the Internet, or in other
cases was used to feature short-term dealer specials.
This is only one example of the potential of our custom applications
group. Please contact one of our sales representatives to discuss
your needs and let us help you design your custom touchscreen systems.
